Your Moon sign
Janma Rashi is the 30-degree sidereal sign occupied by the Moon at birth. It is distinct from a Western tropical Sun sign and can also differ from the Lagna.
How it is calculated
We convert local birth time to UTC, calculate the Moon’s geocentric longitude with Swiss Ephemeris, apply the Lahiri ayanamsa and map the result to one of twelve Rashis.
Traditional use
Janma Rashi is commonly used as a broad lunar reference for temperament, daily Rashi Bhavishya and several traditional timing contexts. It is one part of a full chart, not a complete verdict about a person.
